PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of surely detecting jammed sheet and sheet remaining in a carrying route by jamming. SOLUTION: This sheet jamming detector comprises two or more detection means Sn disposed at the proper positions of the sheet carrying route (10) and detecting the passing of a sheet Pn and a control means 20 for defining a sheet jamming based on the results of detection by the detection means Sn. The control means 20 stores the number of the sheets present between the detection means, and detects the presence or absence of sheet jamming based on the storage and the results of detection by the detection means Sn.
