PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal arranged to perform image reception or call transfer rationally. SOLUTION: An image transmitted from a source communication terminal 1 or 1a is received by a communication terminal 3 through an exchange 2 and stored in an image memory. The communication terminal 3 transfers the received image to destination communication terminals 4 and 5. A call from the source is also transferred. The communication terminal 3 is set with a first mode for receiving only an image at the time of termination and a second mode for receiving an image and a call, and provided with means for selecting the first mode or the second mode. A received call is transferred only when the second mode is selected.
