PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reliable fully-enclosed fan-cooled electric motor, capable of dependably improving cooling efficiency in an electric motor body. SOLUTION: In the fully-enclosed fan-cooled electric motor, provided with an electric motor body 21 that has cooling fins 32, 33, 38 along an axial direction of a rotary shaft 24 on an outer circumference part, a fan 34 that is provided in such a way as to face one end of the motor body 21 and is driven by the rotary shaft 24, and a fan cover 31 that guides cooling air from the fan 34 from the one end surface of the motor body 21 for supplying the air the cooling fins 23, 33, 38 provided on the outside circumference part of the motor body 21, an air-directing guide 37 is provided that is arranged at the other end part of the motor body 21 and that guides cooling air that tends to flow outside out of the outside circumference part of the motor body 21 and that supplies the air along the other end surface of the motor body 21.
