PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device capable of accurately measuring the quantity of a tape fed to a sawing machine by being applied in an expansion tape feeder for feeding the expansion tape to the sawing machine while applying a predetermined tensile force thereto. SOLUTION: The rotating motion of a driving roller 2 for feeding the expansion tape T is transmitted to a driven roller 47, and a moving amount of the expansion tape T between the driven roller 47 and a measuring roller 48 is converted into the rotating motion of the measuring roller 48. The rotation of the measuring roller 48 is converted into an electric signal by a rotating amount sensor 50, the output signal is taken in a measurement control circuit 51, and a length of the tape at the finish of sawing is displayed on a main display device 52. Further the length of the tape after the finish of the sawing is compared with a predetermined value inputted in advance, and the right or wrong in the result of the sawing is informed by means of a display lamp 66.
