PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a rail height adjusting unit wherein fine adjustment is difficult since the feeding amount of an adjust screw along the vertical direction is determined by adjustment for the height of a rail. SOLUTION: A pinion 15 rotatably supported on a second member 7 is operated to rotate. A first member 6 having a rack 14 meshing with the pinion 15 and a second member 6 are relatively slid to each other in the horizontal direction along an inclined cam face 8 as a joint surface of both members 6, 7. The total height of both members 6, 7 is fine adjusted steplessly from the minimum height L to the maximum height H.
