PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device which is free of a signal break and switching noise during switching, eliminates the need to lower an input signal level even when a power amplifier is turned on, and requires no preventing circuit against the opening of the power amplification part. SOLUTION: A high-frequency signal is brought under the gain control of a variable gain amplifier 11. The signal after the gain control of the variable gain amplifier 11 is outputted to a variable coupling degree type power distributor 12, where it is distributed to a bypass line 13 and the power amplifier 14 with a coupling degree corresponding to the gain control voltage from a gain control voltage generator 18. The signal distributed to the power amplifier 14 is amplified by the power amplifier 14 and then outputted to a power composing unit 15. The power composing unit 15 puts together the signal inputted through the bypass line 13 and the signal amplified by the power amplifier 14. The power composing unit 15 sends the composite signal from an antenna 17 through an antenna common unit 16.
