PURPOSE: A method of copying a disc in an optical disc system is provided to switch a disc copy mode into an analog copy mode as soon as music including a copy protection code, recorded in a recording medium, is detected to perform a corresponding signal processing and copy operation. CONSTITUTION: Specific recording sections of music pieces recorded in the first disc to be copied are sequentially searched to detect information added for preventing a searched music piece from being copied(S11,S12). When the information is detected, the sequential searching operating is stopped, and the music pieces recorded in the first disc are sequentially read. The read music pieces are converted into analog and digital signals and recorded in the second. The information is added in the form of copy protection code to the head recording section of the corresponding music piece.
