PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for easily positioning a side plate when mounting the side plate, further mounting the side plate without causing working fluid to leak, and easily judging whether the junction state of the side plate is appropriate or not. SOLUTION: A projection 15 projecting and a forked junction tongue section 11 are formed at the inner-surface side and a tip end side as compared with the projection section, respectively. Then, the junction 15 is joined to the outer- periphery surface of a header cap 20, and the junction tongue section 11 is joined to the outer surface of a blocking plate section 21 of the header cap 20 overlappingly.
