PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise reduction filter combining the low spatial frequency noise cleaning characteristic of a noise filter and a high spatial frequency noise cleaning characteristic of a small local noise reduction filter. SOLUTION: This method for removing noise from a digital image includes receiving an original digital image including many pixels, forming at least one remaining digital image from the original digital image and at least one base digital image of spatial resolution lower than that of a source seat section digital image, and forming the base digital image of reduced noise by removing noise from the base digital image with a noise reduction filter, for forming a reconstructed digital image without noise by combining the base digital image of reduced noise and the residual digital image. |
