SOLUTION: In the stator 1 of a dynamo-electric machine that comprises a flat stator frame 2 and a cylindrical stator core 3, that is fixed to the inner- periphery of the stator frame 2, the stator frame 2 is divided into a plurality of sections in the axial direction as a unit stator frame 8, the outer periphery of a section in a direction for orthogonally crossing the axial direction of each unit stator frame 8 is formed into an even-numbered polygon, the order of the even-numbered polygon is set to an even number excluding 2, so that the length of the sides that become diagonal set so as to be asymmetrical.
