PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of promptly and efficiently carrying a pipe bundle module of a heat exchanger to/from a main body. SOLUTION: A pipe bundle module carrying in/out device 10 comprises a truck 12 detachably provided so as to move in reciprocation on a long and narrow base portion 11, and a crane device 15. The truck 12 is provided with a fluid chamber supporting portion 13 and a pipe bundle module supporting portion 14 composed of a plurality of supports 50 that can be assembled/ disassembled. First, a fluid chamber 6 is supported by the fluid chamber supporting part 13 and drawn out, and while successively coupling the supports 50 in series and assembling that, a pipe bundle module 4 is carried out by being supported with the supports 50.
