PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality olefin polymer with a high productivity. SOLUTION: This olefin polymer is manufactured, in a high pressure polymerization method, by supplying an olefin polymerization catalyst comprising a transition metal compound (a), a modified clay compound (b), and an organic aluminum compound (c), and a reaction mixture comprising a titanium compound (d), and, if necessary, an organic aluminum compound (e) separately to a reactor.
