PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly water-repellent fiber capable of providing a nonwoven fabric capable of simultaneously satisfying antistaticity and discoloration resistance, having excellent water-repellency, hardly causing irritation to the skin, and having good feeling. SOLUTION: This fiber has 0.1-1.0 wt.% surfactant composition comprising 50-80 wt.% at least one of an alkyl phosphate salt component (component A) selected from a 12-18C alkyl phosphate salt, 10-30 wt.% fluorine-based compound- containing component (component B) and 10-30 wt.% poly(oxyalkylene) alkyl ether component (component C), and having pH 6.0-8.0, based on the weight of the fiber and attached to the fiber comprising a thermoplastic resin, and 7.0-13.0 residual percentage crimp.
