PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a paper guide from being lifted up by a tip of the continuous paper to prevent problems in conveyance such as paper jam. SOLUTION: A paper delivery device 14 of a printer conveys the paper after printing toward an outlet 16 of the printer, and is provided with a delivering roller 28 for stopping a tip side of the paper, and a paper guide positioned in the upstream of the delivering roller 28 for guiding the tip of the paper to the delivering roller 28. The upstream side of the paper guide 24 is rotatably supported to open a paper passage, whereby the upstream side of the paper is allowed to be looped when the tip side of the paper is stopped by the delivering roller 28. The paper delivery device 14 is provided with a locking means for locking the rotation of the paper guide 24, so that the paper guide 24 is locked when the tip of the paper is guided, and the paper guide is unlocked when the tip of the paper reaches a predetermined position of a lower part of the paper guide 24.
