PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To erase or reduce streaks in a displayed image on a screen of a television receiver produced when the image resulting from photographing an image having been displayed on a screen of another monitor by using a television camera as an object is displayed on the screen of the television receiver and the scanning frequency of the screen of the television receiver differs from that of the screen of the monitor. SOLUTION: Since the scanning frequency of the screen 3 of the television receiver differs from the scanning frequency of the screen of a PC monitor 1, a streak S is produced on an image 4 on the screen 3 where the image 4 results from photographing an image having been displayed on the screen of the PC monitor 1. A normal image equivalent to the spatial position of the streak-producing image is sequentially segmented from stored data of a normal image of a just preceding frame to a frame causing the detected stream S for each consecutively repeated image frame and the data at the spatial position of the streak-producing image S are replaced with the segmented data of the normal image.
