PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal that allows a user to easily confirm a liquid crystal display section provided on a handset or a cordless phone even when the slave unit is hung on its neck by a strap for the user holds it on its hand. SOLUTION: The slave unit is provided with a main body section 2 provided with information entry keys 4 and with a display section 3 fitted freely foldably to the main body section 2, and a display screen of the display section 3 is displayed in the same face as the information entry keys 4 or in a state of being perpendicular to the information entry keys 4.
