<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus for three phase multistage contact aeration is provided, which is equipped with contact filtration media composed of aerobic zone and anoxic zone together, so that eliminates any necessity of installing additional anoxic zone in purifying tank. The funnels set outwardly at the top and bottom of the vertical cylinder, so that nitrogen generated from the denitrification chamber is easily discharged and fine sludge is also discharged through the funnel at the bottom. CONSTITUTION: At the contact filtration media to be charged into the purifying tank to ease the habitation of microorganism, a denitrification zone of anoxic zone is formed by a vertical cylinder that is at the top and bottom covered by funnels(21,31) having through holes(22,32) of 13 mm in diameter and charged with microorganism(4), with the holes covered with water soluble gelatin. Along the peripheral of the vertical cylinder of denitrification zone, an aerobic zone is formed by vertical cylinders(12) that communicates with horizontal cylinders(13).</p> |
