PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven four-way directional control valve used for a refrigerating cycle device for a freezer/refrigerator for reconciling high performance and energy-saving of the freezer/refrigerator to a higher degree. SOLUTION: This motor-driven four-way directional control valve is provided with a valve housing having one inlet port always communicating with a valve chest, a first outlet port B, a second outlet port C, and a third outlet port D opening in a bottom surface of the valve chest, a valve element 17 rotatably displaceably arranged in the valve chest, and having a partition wall part 20 partitioned into an opening area 18 communicating with the valve chest and an uncommunicating unopening area 19 on an end surface abutting to the bottom surface of the valve chest, and a motor-driven actuator for rotatably driving the valve element 17 stepwise. The valve element 17 is switched to four positions of (a) to (d).
