PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male-female engagement tool that can strongly maintain an engagement function when inserted and engaged or can protect against breakage by quickly releasing the engagement function by being fixed to the separated edge portions of a thing to be fastened. SOLUTION: A male engagement tool 1 and a female engagement tool 2 are fixed to a separated facing edges 5 of a pair of things 4 to be fastened by integral molding, and in the male engagement tool 1, an engagement piece 8 is provided in the front of a base portion 7, and engagement projections are provided on both sides of the tip of the engagement piece 8, and in the female engagement tool 2, an insertion opening 17 opening in the front of the base portion 7 and a storage space portion 18 storing an engagement piece 8 continuing to the insertion opening 17 are provided, and engagement recesses are provided on both sides of the storage space portion 18 and engaged with the engagement projections, and the storage space portion 18 is covered by an upper wall 20, a lower wall 21, sidewalls and the base portion 7, and protects the male-female engagement tool against breakage by a strong pattern. In a type quickly releasing the engagement function, the engagement piece of the male engagement tool is formed into a trapezoid, easily gets out from the insertion opening of the female engagement tool when twisted, and the vicinity of the insertion opening of the female engagement tool can easily elastically deforms, and protects the female engagement tool against breakage.
