PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device and an ultrasonic echo signal processing method appropriately extracting harmonic components and selectively extracting fundamental wave components by utilizing the feature of a phase inversion method to the maximum. SOLUTION: When ultrasonic images are gathered by the phase inversion method, by a spectrum waveform adjusting function, received positive electrode echo signals and negative electrode echo signals are made symmetrical and the positive electrode echo signals and the negative electrode echo signals which are made symmetrical are added together. Thus, the fundamental wave components are highly accurately eliminated and the harmonic components are extracted.
