PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooler for recovered sand of a green mold, which can be miniaturized and also expected to have an efficient cooling performance. SOLUTION: The cooler is a device for cooling the recovered sand of the green mold by adding water. A charge port 2 for the recovered sand of the green mold is provided at one end part of a casing 1 and a discharge port 3 at the other end part. An axial-flow agitation blade 4, which is so composed that a thin-virtual cylindrical transfer space 1a is formed between the inner peripheral face of the casing 1 and the blade, is freely rotatably provided in the inner part of the casing 1. A driving means 5 for rotatably driving the axial-flow agitation blade 4 is provided. At least one water-adding nozzle 6 is provided on the casing 1, and further a water-feeding means 7 for feeding water to the water-adding nozzle 6 is provided.
