PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition improved in low temperature embrittlement. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises having dynamic viscoelasticity as measured at -40 deg.C, by 20 Hz, with an initial strain of 10% and a dynamic strain of±0.5% to satisfy the equations (I) and (II): 2000×f (MPa)>=E* (I); E'>500 (MPa) (II) (wherein E' is a dynamic modulus, E* is a complex modulus, and f=√(1+tan<2>δ) (1-e<-0.126/tanδ> ).
