PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome problems such as a long time required for capturing a satellite because an actual satellite is different from a satellite expected to be captured after a long-distance travel using no power source in a satellite communication device having a built-in GPS receiver. SOLUTION: A projection point 2 of a present position 1 of the satellite onto the ground is calculated from locus information of an artificial satellite and compared with an estimated position 3 held inside the GPS. When the comparison results in a great difference, the estimated position of the GPS is updated to the position 2 for predicting a capturable GPS satellite, and consequently, a satellite capturing time can be shortened.
