DRIVE SUPPORTING DEVICE AND DRIVE GUIDING DATA GENERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display adequate guiding patterns as a supporting device for driving a vehicle, taking into account differences in each driving operation environment. SOLUTION: Drive guiding data to support a certain driving operation is stored in a guiding data memory unit 41. An image processing unit 20 synthesizes an image which shows surrounding area of the vehicle with the guiding patterns showing the position of the vehicle when a certain driving operation is ended or in the midcourse and displays the image on a display device 30 in accordance with the driving guide data selected by a guiding data selection unit 42. The drive guiding data corresponds to a certain drive operation position and difference of elevation between starting positions of a certain driving operation and position the guiding patterns showing are also considered.
