PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device capable of reliable connection and speedy release thereof without damaging a main belt itself since the main belt is not provided with though holes, etc., as before. SOLUTION: A connecting mechanism main body 4 is constituted of a very small number of components such as at least three outer, intermediate, and inner connecting metal fixtures 1, 2, and 3 of approximately flat sheet metal. One main belt (a) to be connected is capable of connecting to the outer connecting metal fixture 1, and the other sub belt (b) is capable of connecting to the inner connecting metal fixture 3. The three connecting metal fixtures become in a folded state when connecting the belts.
