PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a conventional float jointly used as a basket for ground bait can not secure a large ground bait-housing part, since its ground bait-housing part and floating body are in one unit, and also since the volume of the ground bait-housing part is fixed, it is difficult to release the ground bait efficiently depending on the speed of a tidal flow and the kind of the used ground bait. SOLUTION: This float 1 jointly used as the basket for the bait is constituted with two units of the floating body 2 and the ground bait-housing body 3. The floating body 2 formed as an optional cylindrical shape is provided by installing a supporting rod 8 attached to its side surface, a pipe 5a being inserted through a fishing line 17, of which upper part is buried in the upper part of the floating power part and lower part passes through the side direction. The ground bait- housing body 3 formed as an optional shaped cylinder is provided by installing a supporting rod-passing groove 4 formed as long in lengthwise, an optional number of supporting rod-receiving ports 7a, 7b, 7c connected to the supporting rod-passing groove, a fishing line-inserting pipe 5b fixed at the side surface and a lid for the opening at the lower direction, and fitting the floating body with the ground bait-housing body as freely capable of sliding.
