PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device which can have stable characteristics by effectively suppressing the influence of electromagnetic coupling between a plurality of SAW filter elements. SOLUTION: One of ground external terminals 45 to 48 is arranged between input external terminals 41 and 43 of adjacent SAW filter elements 1 and 2. Further, one of ground external terminals 45 to 48 is arranged between the adjacent filter elements 1 and 2. Further, the ground external terminals 45 and 46 which are arranged by dividing the SAW filter elements 1 and 2 into two and face each other among the ground external terminals 45 to 48 are electrically connected to a metallic lid body 7 outside a container 3.
