PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a color reproduction area of a printer in printing image data obtained by an input device. SOLUTION: Color space data (YCBCr) are read (Figure 3, 301), the color space data are converted into image data (RGB) (Figure 3, 303), a first color space point at the outside of a maximum color reproduction range of an output means is reduced and moved to a second color space point within the maximum color reproduction range of the output means (Figure 3, 305), a movement amount in the movement from the first color space point to the second color space point is calculated (Figure 3, 306), the second color space point is converted into a third color space point within a color reproduction range smaller than the maximum color reproduction range of the output means (Figure 3, 307), the third color space point is magnified and moved to a fourth color space point within the maximum color reproduction range of the output means on the basis of the movement amount used for calculating the third color space point (Figure 3, 310), the fourth color space point is converted into image data (Figure 3, 311), and the converted image data are used and an image is outputted to the output means.
