PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas oil composition which can improve exhaust gas from a DPF loading engine and vehicle, can extremely reduce especially PM and can effectively operate DPF. SOLUTION: This gas oil composition for DPF loading diesel engine having <=50 mass ppm sulfur content has distillation properties of boiling point (T90 ) of 90% fraction satisfying relation T90 <=-22×LN((A-90)/(7.9×10<7> )) deg.C (A is the number of cells per square inch of DPF to be used; LN is natural logarithm), ash content equal to limit of detection or below, >=45 cetane index, >=45 cetane number and >=1,300 MPa and <=1,600 MPa modulus of elasticity of volume.
