PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position specification device capable of highly accurately specifying a position regardless of environment. SOLUTION: A radio wave propagation characteristic database 12a acquired by measuring the propagation characteristic of a broadcast wave in a broadcast system at each of a plurality of spots and by correlating a radio wave propagation characteristic profile in each measuring spot as a database is prepared beforehand, and stored in a storage part 12. A moving body analyzes the radio wave propagation characteristic of the incoming broadcast wave with a propagation characteristic analysis part 11, and imparts the radio wave propagation characteristic profile acquired resultantly to a position analysis part 13. The position of a vehicle 3 is specified by comparing and referring the radio wave propagation characteristic profile with the radio wave propagation characteristic database 12a by the position analysis part 13.
