PURPOSE: A device of supplying a dictionary service by using a short message service and a device thereof are provided to transmit a short message including dictionary information on many words to a mobile communication terminal of a user, when the user applies for a glossary service over the Internet or the short message service, thereby enabling the user to easily search the words. CONSTITUTION: A format converter(201) gives dictionary service kinds to words inputted by a user, converts the words into a dictionary information request short message, and transmits the short message to a base station of a mobile communication system. A dictionary character information unit(203) receives dictionary character information from the mobile communication system by corresponding to the short message, and displays the dictionary character information through an LCD device. A word storage(207) stores the dictionary character information in a glossary database(213) at the request of the user. A progress checker(209) decides the rate of progress, and extracts many word lists corresponding to the progress. A repeated learning unit(211) receives the word lists, and displays the word lists on the LCD device as many as preset repetition frequencies. |
