PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect light output characteristics in an optical assembling process by improving the measurement precision of the light output characteristics after welding in the optical axis assembling process by blowing cooling air thus, lowering the temperature of an optical element module in a short time. SOLUTION: An optical element module cooling mechanism is mounted on an optical fiber optical axis adjusting device to suppress a rise in temperature due to welding heat and while the optical element module is fitted to the device, the light output characteristic inspection can be carried out. The optical fiber optical device shown in Fig. 1 performs cooling processing by blowing air cooled by a cooler 32 from a blowoff nozzle 6 to the optical element module having risen in temperature due to the welding heat after a light emitting element 13, and an optical fiber holder 12 and the optical fiber 7 are welded with a YAG laser irradiation head 11.
