PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fixed attenuator which can be inserted into a multicore adapter together with another optical fixed attenuator at the same time, facilitates plug insertion, and can be made small-sized and lightweight. SOLUTION: A lower wall of a quadrilaterally cross-sectioned prismatic casing 8 constituting a plug coupling part 7 of one of the optical fixed attenuators which have adapter coupling parts 6 and 9, matching an upper connection opening 4 and a lower connection opening 5 of an adapter 3, formed at one-end sides and plug coupling parts 7 and 10 formed at the other-end sides is cut and an upper wall 12 of a quadrilaterally cross-sectioned prismatic casing 11 constituting a plug coupling part 10 of the other optical fixed attenuator 2 is made thin and has its center part cut along the length; and guide plates 14 and 14 are projected opposite on both the sides of the cut part 13 and the lower wall and upper wall 12 are made to abut against each other and fixed in one body.
