PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve the insufficiency of lubrication in an opposed contact surface of a holder ring with its guiding material for a ball screw device and achieve weight reduction of a device as a whole. SOLUTION: For a ball screw device 1, in which a screw shaft 3 is arranged unrotatably and immovably in a shaft center direction and also a nut material 2 is arranged rotatably and movably to a center direction of the screw shaft 3, a holder ring 5 which rotatably holds each adjoining ball 4 in an isolated condition to a rolling direction in the opposing surface of the nut material 2 to the screw shaft 3 is equipped, and a lubricant sump 38 is equipped in the areas, except at least one groove of the nut material 2 rotatably guiding the holding ring 5 or the screw shaft 3. This lubricant sump enables having a large quantity of lubricant in a space, in which the ball 4 or the holding ring 5 exist and it provides a good lubricating condition in a contacting or sliding parts.
