PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail order system for enabling anybody, especially even an elderly person to easily order desired merchandise without a mistake and capable of being easily introduced by a mail-order house. SOLUTION: This mail order selling system comprises a bar code reader 2 for reading an order mark 12 obtained by coding data of merchandise (merchandise photograph 11) published on a medium such as a leaflet and data of an order destination and also transmitting an instruction for displaying the telephone number of an ordering source together with the data, and a personal computer 3 for receiving the data. If the received data is decided to be received for the first time, an order receiving side operator makes a call to the telephone number of an ordering source displayed on a monitor 33, communicates with a person of the ordering source to obtain prescribed data such as an address and a name, stores the prescribed data in a personal computer 3 (main body 31) and also starts merchandise order receiving processing. If the received data is transmitted from an ordering source stored in the personal computer 3 (main body 31), the ordering source is specified from the data of the ordering source stored in the personal computer 3 (main body 31), the ordering source is specified from the stored data of the ordering source on the basis of identification data of the ordering source to start merchandise order receiving processing. |
