PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-cooled motor wherein the rigidity of a motor shaft is sufficiently ensured; vibration due to a bend or deformation is reduced; and stator coils can be protected against foreign matters, such as water and dust, mixed in cooling air. SOLUTION: In the air-cooled motor, a load-side bracket 1 and an anti-load- side bracket 4 have a plurality of cooling holes 12. The air-cooled motor is provided with guides 13 which guide cooling air Fa taken in through the cooling holes 12 in the load-side bracket 1 to a motor shaft 10. The guides 13 are so formed that coils 3 installed on a stator core 2 are covered therewith. The motor shaft 10 is provided with a plurality of through holes 11 so that cooling air Fa taken in through the cooling holes 12 in the load-side bracket 1 is let to flow to the cooling holes 12 in the anti-load-side bracket 4. Disks 17 which are positioned opposite to end rings 19 placed at both the ends of a rotor core 9 with a gap between are bonded to the motor shaft 10 so that a labyrinth structure is formed between the motor shaft and the guides 13.
