PURPOSE: An automatic virus interception and elimination method is provided to plan a virus interception policy on a mail to be sent via a mail sender plug-in, to automatically eliminate all the viruses at a mail control center before a user opens a mail infected with viruses, and to send a vaccine program or an alarm mail to the user in a case that a computer has been already infected with a virus. CONSTITUTION: A mail sender clicks on a virus interception policy menu offered by a mail sender plug-in(300), and determines targets, in a policy plan interaction box(305). Then, the mail sender plug-in plans the first virus interception policy such as a mail access number, an access allowance range, a reading limit time, or a mail expiration time(310). The mail sender plug-in plans the second virus interception policy such as a known virus interception policy, a new virus interception policy, and a basic message included in an alarm mail(315). The mail sender plug-in determines whether the currently planned policy is used as a basic policy(320). In a case that the currently planned policy is used as a basic policy, the corresponding policy is stored at a computer of a mail sender(325, 330), and it is applied to all the policy targets. In a case that the currently policy is not used as a basic policy, the corresponding policy is applied to only the mail to be currently sent(335).
