GUIDE WHEEL ASSEMBLY FOR FABRICATING OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE: A guide wheel assembly for fabricating an optical fiber is provided to improve the quality of an optical fiber by forming a rotary guide wheel perpendicular to a winding direction of the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A main frame(53) is formed with a base(51) and a vertical frame(52) projected to an upper portion of the base. A bracket(54) is installed horizontally to the inside of the vertical frame. A motor having a decelerator is installed at a rear portion of the bracket. A wheel support(61) is fixed to a front portion of the bracket in order to support a guide wheel(60). A rotary shaft(63) and a wheel guide(62) are used for receiving the rotary power from the motor. A loading portion is formed at a rim of the guide wheel in order to load an optical fiber. A flange is formed at both sides of the loading side in order to prevent the escape of the optical fiber.
