PURPOSE: An automatic error controller for gas sensing apparatus is provided to set up automatically a reference resistance value of a gas sensor by using a value which is measured through the gas sensor in a chamber filled up by gas with constant density. CONSTITUTION: A gas sensing portion(10) is connected with a gas sensor for sensing the gas. A temperature sensing portion(20) is connected with a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature. A storage portion(30) is connected with an EPROM to store a sensing reference value and an error value of the gas. An input portion(50) selects an input condition mode to control the sensed error. A setup control portion(40) receives signals from the gas sensing portion, the temperature sensing portion, the storage portion, and the input portion and sets up automatically the density of gas. An output portion(60) displays an alarm state or a safe state according to an output signal of the setup control portion.
