PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a gamma characteristic of an organic EL (Electro-Luminescence) display device that can reduce the measurement time. SOLUTION: The method for measuring the gamma characteristic of the organic EL display device includes: a step of presetting a plurality of prescribed gamma characteristic measurement gradations selected among RGB gradation numbers and all the gradations, a step of displaying an optional RGB video image with each gamma characteristic measurement gradation on the organic EL display device, and a step of measuring the luminance of the video image displayed on the organic EL display device when the organic EL display device displays the video image with each gamma characteristic measurement gradation.
