PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it has been so necessary conventionally to provide electromagnetic shielding portions in portable radio equipment in order to reducing its electromagnetic noises as to make hard its miniaturization. SOLUTION: With respect to the portable radio equipment, signal converting means are so provided in the signal inputting/outputting portions of its each IC chip as to perform by optical signals its signal transmissions among its IC chips. Thereby, its weight and price are reduced by removing electromagnetic shielding materials from it. Further, by using as its antenna elements signal inputting/outputting pins (102) of an IC package (101) used in its high-frequency portion, its terminal is miniaturized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
