METHOD FOR WRITING DUBBING AUDIO DATA OF REWRITABLE HIGH DENSITY RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE: A method for writing dubbing audio data of a rewritable high density recording medium is provided to write still picture data having a recording format in a digital still camera and dubbing audio data at a large rewritable high density recording medium. CONSTITUTION: Still picture video and audio encoders(12,13) encode video and audio data selectively output through first and second switching units(10,11) to be compatible with formats of still picture and audio data in a digital still camera. Moving picture video and audio encoders(14,15) encode video and audio data selectively output through the first and second switching units to be compatible with formats of moving picture and audio data in a digital video recorder. An MPEG2(Moving Picture Experts Group2) multiplexer(16) multiplexes the moving picture video and audio data into MPEG 2 stream and outputs the MPEG 2 stream to a formatter(17). The formatter constructs the still picture video and audio data as the write size appropriate for a rewritable high density recording medium, and generates navigation information for the still picture video data and audio data. A microcontroller unit(19) writes the audio data having a format in the digital video recorder as dubbing audio data corresponding to the still picture video data, and writes and manages navigation information for linking playback between the still picture data and the dubbing audio data.
