PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a specimen without varying the viable cell count in the collected specimen. SOLUTION: The method for the clinical bacteriological examination to detect the bacteria in a specimen collected from an examinee comprises the collection of a specimen from the examinee, mixing of the specimen with a solution for storage and the storage of the mixture in frozen state.
