PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce thermal interference while suppressing lowering of lifetime or variation of driving current characteristics for a plurality of light emitting elements. SOLUTION: When driving currents are fed to light emitting elements 11 and 12 constituting a multibeam diode according to driving signals D1 and D2, bias currents are fed to the light emitting elements 11 and 12 by applying bias signals B1 and B2 during a specified interval T1 before rising of the driving signals D1 and D2 and a specified interval T2 after falling thereof in order to arrange the rising and falling characteristics of the driving currents of the light emitting elements 11 and 12 thus preventing deterioration of image quality.
