PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust measuring apparatus capable of accurately measuring the concentration of dust contained in a fluid over a long period. SOLUTION: The dust measuring apparatus is provided with an irradiating part 14 for irradiating a region to be measured 50 with light, a light receiving part 16 for receiving light to be detected from the region to be measured 50, and a dust concentration computing means for computing the concentration of dust by performing arithmetic processing as required on the light to be detected received by the light receiving part 16. First and second purge fluid feeding means 82 and 84 are provided in a detecting part housing 8. A purge fluid fed through the first purge fluid feeding means 82 is jetted toward an irradiation surface of an irradiation opening cover 20, and a purge fluid fed through the second purge fluid feeding means 84 is jetted toward a light reception surface of a light reception opening cover 24.
