EXISTING DAM COMBINED WITH AUXILIARY DAM AND PUMPED STORAGE POWER PLANT

PURPOSE: The existing dam combined with an auxiliary dam and a pumped storage power plant is provided to increase the storage of water and electric power. CONSTITUTION: The principle of existing dam(5) combined with an auxiliary dam and a pumped storage power plant is explained that: creating an auxiliary dam far up the stream from the existing dam(5); pumping up water in the existing dam(5) and storing the pumped water at the auxiliary dam, therefore promoting flood control and effectively generating electric power by sending the pumped water from the auxiliary to the existing dam(5) through a floodgate, though the head is not high, because the quantity of stored water is large enough, consequently more electricity is generated compared to the single dam generating system and environmentally friendly structure for construction result in a minimum damage to the environment.
