PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display is provided to improve the productivity by reducing a processing time before joining two substrates, and efficiently operate a production line by processing the substrates in balance. CONSTITUTION: Liquid crystal is dropped on a first substrate. A sealant is formed on a second substrate. The first substrate is chucked on a lower stage in a joining chamber and the second substrate is chucked on an upper stage in the joining chamber(31S-32S). The joining chamber is vacuumed firstly and a substrate receiver is placed under the second substrate, and then the joining chamber is vacuumed secondly(33S-34S). The substrate receiver is returned to the original position(36S). The first substrate and the second substrate are joined by applying a pressure(37S). The joined first and second substrates are unloaded(38S). |
