PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which realizes the suppression easily occurring a constriction discharge. SOLUTION: The light source device is provided with at least one luminescence tube 10, discharge medium which is sealed in the luminescence tube 10, and the first and the second electrodes 11 and 12 which excite the medium. The first electrode 11 is disposed inside the luminescence tube 10. The second electrode 12 contacts an outer surface of the luminescence tube 10 at a plurality of linear contacting portions.
