PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel, in which the radiation of unwanted electromagnetic waves can be eliminated at low cost, without increasing the number of components, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel 10 comprises an electrode group 16, composed of a plurality of row electrodes 16a formed on a front substrate 12 and an electrode group 18 composed of a plurality of column electrodes 18a formed on a back substrate 14. A sealing layer 20 is arranged for sealing the periphery in between the front substrate 12 and the back substrate 14 opposite to each other. Magnetic substance layers 22, having a belt-like shape are formed so as to partly cover each electrode 16a led out alternately to the outside of the seal layer 20 which face each other at both ends, in the extending direction of the electrode group 16 on the front substrate 12. The magnetic layers 22 are composed of a magnetic material powder and a binding material for binding a magnetic powder, and the layers 22 are formed by a coating method or the like.
