PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head suited to high-density digital recording/ reproducing, which can secure a stable contact state with a magnetic recording medium under any environments and conditions and suppress head clogging in terms of reliability regarding the magnetic head in which two magnetic head chips of large recording azimuth angles, i.e., 10°or higher, are stuck and supported on one head base. SOLUTION: In the magnetic head in which two magnetic head chips of recording azimuth angles 10°or higher are stuck and supported on one head base, an angle within a sliding plane of chamfering carried out on a surface sliding with the magnetic recording medium of an inner core half adjacent to the next magnetic head chip is optimally selected.
